One Response to Welcome!

  1. What a treasure! Our party consisted of two couples exploring several areas in Oregon and Washington. After two nights lodging in rather busy coastal towns, the quiet ambiance of China Beach was a welcome respite. The 1900ish home is lovingly restored. The bedrooms are a cozy, luxurious step back in time. Thoughtful touches abound. The common living room and sitting areas looking out on the lovely cove and wetland are immediately relaxing. And the kitchen has all you would need to cook and dine well. Granted, it helped that no one happened to be occupying the bedroom on the main floor; a third party could change the dynamics of the living areas. But the rates are affordable enough that you could rent that third bedroom to assure yourself run of the entire house if you wanted. We all wished we could stay a second night so we could fully experience this special place. Next time, we will. Maybe several days. Breakfast at the Shelburne was terrific too.
